I was here with my mom and my little sister. It was lunch time so the restaurant was very empty. Lovely interior. Everything tasted fresh. We don’t have a lot of vietnamees restaurants here in utrecht, this one is great. My little sister loved the diy spring rolls. Very interactive and cool concept. Food was delicious and bright. Would definitely come back.

Great Vietnamese restaurant. We enjoyed it more than the others ones in Utrecht and among one of the few that tastes bit more authentic. Noodle dishes, and rice bowls are great (bún, phở, cơm chiên), fried stuffs aren't oily and mostly healthy. Most dishes are well decorated, portion (size) are reasonable for the price, and comes at reasonable time. The place is very clean, friendly staffs, but can be slow on crowded days. Totally recommended.

Whether it’s eat in or take away the food is always excellent. Very friendly staff, too. We love to stroll in spontaneously or take friends and family here for a nice meal in a relaxed vibe. Very nice in the summer to sit alongside the canal, but the interior is also very cosy when dining inside.

Not the best Vietnamese eetplaces in the area, but they do are convience in Utrecht. While the food is pretty much the same for the smaller Kimmade and this one, the "Village" is right located at the canals. So nice location and nice view. The inside of the restaurant is also nicely decorated. Little bit dark and shady, but that's their style. The food is decent. The Pho soup base is not as tasty as some other places (in Amsterdam or Rotterdam), but it's not bad. I tried the grilled sea bream for the first time. Not what I was expecting, since I pictured a whole grilled fish on my plate. But they have it in a few pieces, which in my opinion was not worth the price. Taste is not bad though, but not alright for almost 20 euros.

It was disappointing that the menu is different than the one at Mariastraat (Kimmade street food). Kimmade Food Village does not have that many options on the menu. The service is okay. It took some time for the drinks but the food came fast. The new decoration of the interior is interesting. I just miss a little bit of the old authentic vibe.

This Vietnamese restaurant is one of the best culinary experience in Utrecht. The food is delicate and tasty! The place is very well decorated and the service is also nice with a precise timing and kind waitresses. I strongly recommend this restaurant!

As someone who visited their original location at least 1-2 times a week in 2015-2016 (back when they were the only Vietnamese offering in all of Utrecht), this was an extremely disappointing revisit. We’ve moved away since but do try to come from time to time and the previous time was similarly disappointing but I assumed it was a bad day. This visit all but confirmed it. With the first taste of pho broth I was hit with a mouthful of salt that is unlike any pho anywhere - north or south. As someone who was born in Hanoi and grew up eating Vietnamese food, this is the only time I remember not drinking the broth at the end (I even drink it when it’s instant pho!!). My husband picked up the distinct taste of garlic which is widely known to be a big no no (clashes with distinct spices and beef) although I couldn’t confirm it myself as my head was throbbing from trying to down the insanely salty broth. His pho noodles were also well over cooked too - he couldn’t even pick it up with chopsticks without it breaking on touch, although mine was fine. Very unfortunate that they’ve not stuck to their authentic origins - I loved the light but flavourful and fragrant taste of the north where I’m from. We really thought the last time was a fluke, unfortunately this time was much worse. I’m very glad there are so many options in Utrecht for Vietnamese and Asian food now, compared to when we lived in the city almost 10 years ago!! Will definitely go back yearly and patron the other places, and I have to give it to kimmade - they were the trailblazer and I have had many good memories eating there so often in their original location. Really sorry to leave such a negative review for such a beloved institution for me personally - the vibe in the new restaurant is lovely though and the service was fine and friendly. If you don’t eat a lot of Vietnamese food, most likely you won’t notice so I’d still recommend it to those just for the beautiful restaurant on the canal.
